#OOTD photos tips!

Here are a few tips for taking better outfit photos!

Timing is everything when it comes to photography. In my case, I love taking photos outside with natural light. So my favorite time of day has to be before or during sunset.  It creates a very lovely, even and soft image. (ps: I never use flash outdoors!)

Search for interesting places to take your photos, like colorful walls or awesome streets. This is a great way to see your town or neighborhood in a more artistic way. Also, it will allow you to show your readers a bit more from where your from!  And before I forget, pay attention to your surroundings! We don’t want to retake the photos because we didn’t notice the trashcan on the background haha….

When shooting outfit images don’t forget to get those awesome closeup details of your looks. Such as textures, handbags, jewelry and creative hairstyles!

Retouching is a way to take your image to a better place (if done right of course). Here you can adjust your contrast, brightness, color balance, sharpness or transform images to black and white or add cool filters. My advice… have fun with it! I recommend Lightroom or Aperture. If you edit the photos on your phone use VSCO or Afterlight (my personal favorite!)

If your taking photos in a public area, yes… there’s going to be people looking. And yes, is going to be pretty weird haha… Just be confident and laugh it out!  For me being a blogger does not mean I’m a model so it’s important to let your personality shine more that your outfits, at the end it's what matters most.My last advice is to be yourself.  Show your quirky, funny, girly, sexy side!!
That a will be all, hope it was helpful!

Until next post,
Nydia

Nydia

Really great tips! I just need to get used to people staring at me when I get the camera out in public. It's a long learning process. Thanks for sharing!
