Universal's Aventura Hotel // Travel Diary

For today I’m sharing my travel diary of my recent stay at the wonderful Universal’s Aventura Hotel, as well as many photos of my adventures around Universal Studios Florida, Island of Adventure and Volcano Bay. 

Hace una semanas me quedé en el bello Aventura Hotel de Universal. Además de disfrutar de sus facilidades pude visitar sus famosos parques de atracción: Universal Studios Florida, Island of Adventure y el parque acuático Volcano Bay. Aquí les comparto mi experiencia, al igual que muchas imágenes de nuestra estadía.

The hotel opened past August 2018. It’s beautifully modern with a relaxed/cool vibe. My room was located in the 14th floor. It has a very simple and slick style, very unique from other hotels I’ve stayed before. I couldn't get over the EPIC floor to ceiling views of the Universal area. From my room I could see Volcano Bay! The room also comes with a tablet which gives you access to manage different features of the room such as temperature, lights, and entertainment like Netflix on the tv. 

El hotel abrió sus puertas el pasado agosto. Es hermosamente moderno con un ambiente relajado / fresco. Mi habitación estaba ubicada en el piso 14. Tiene un estilo único, comparado con otros hoteles en los que me he alojado anteriormente. Desde las ventanas se aprecian las épicas vistas de la zona Universal; desde mi habitación podía ver Volcano Bay. También me encantó la tableta que ta acceso a para administrar la temperatura de la habitación, la iluminación, ordenar comida y hasta  el entretenimiento como Netflix en la televisión.

They offer a bunch of amenities / recreational areas such as :

- Complimentary Wi-fi

- Pool area

- On site Universal Studios Store

- Free bus transportation to the parks 
-Virtual reality game room

- Self parking (daily fee applies)

- Resort wide charging privileges with room key 

Ofrecen un muchísimos servicios / áreas recreativas como:

- WiFi gratis

- Piscina

- Tienda de Universal Studios 

- Transporte gratuito en autobús a los parques 

- Self-Parking (con cargo a la habitación)

- Acceso a cargo a la habitación con llave a través de la propiedad

To eat and drink they have Urban Pantry which offers a dining hall with different menu options such as pizza, sushi, breakfast, snacks, all at affordable prize.  (By the way, the pizza was so so good!) There’s also Starbucks and different bars, three in total. Bar Sol and BarVentura in the main floor, but definitely the coolest one is located at the 17th floor of the hotel: Bar 17 Bistro. Ideal to have a drink, grab something to eat while enjoying the sunset. 
I may even say it's the best spot of the Hotel (or even Orlando)!

Para comer y beber tienen el Urban Pantry, un comedor donde ofrecen diversos menús como pizzas, sushi, desayuno y muchas otras opciones a precios asequibles. ¡Por cierto… la pizza es riquísima! También hay un Starbucks y diferentes bares en el hotel. La más genial está ubicada en el último piso, Bar 17 Bistro. Ideal para contemplar la puesta de sol, darse un cóctel y comer algo ligero. 

Visiting the parks is a must when your staying at a Universal property. And when you're a guest, you get early entry to both Volcano Bay and the Wizarding World of Harry Potter. 



La mejor parte de la estadía en el Aventura Hotel, por supuesto, fue visitar los parques.  Un "plus" es que como huésped obtienes  acceso temprano (antes del público en general) a Volcano Bay y Wizarding World of Harry Potter. 

Jay and I grabbed our towels, sun block and bathing suits and headed out to Volcano Bay which is located walking distance from Aventura Hotel.

It is such a cool park! Loved Waturi beach and ALL the fun slides. A few of my favorite slides: Krakatua Aqua Coaster, Maku Puihi raft rides and Honu! Best part ... you don't have to stand in line! With the TapuTapu wristband they give you at the park entrance you go to the slide totem which marks your time left to ride the slide!

Volcano Bay queda a solo pasos del Aventura Hotel... ¡y está espectacular!
Me encantó Waturi beach (piscina de olas con el volcán de fondo) y TODOS las divertidas chorreras. Mis favoritas: Krakatua Aqua Coaster, paseos en balsa Maku Puihi y Honu! Lo mejor: ya no tienes que hacer fila! Con la pulsera TapuTapu que te dan en la entrada del parque, vas al tótem de la chorrera y marcas tu tiempo!

On our last day of our stay we went to Universal Studios Florida and Island of Adventure! Some of the attractions you can't miss while visiting both parks are: The Revenge of the Mummy,  Skull Island: Reign of Kong, Harry Potter and the Escape from Gringotts, The Incredible Hulk and Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit! 

Of course,  I was most excited to visit the Wizarding World of Harry Potter! Being in Diagon Alley, watching the fire breathing dragon on the top of Gringotts bank and taking the train from Kingcross station to Hogsmead (a Park-to-Park Pass is needed to ride the Hogwarts Express) where the Hogwarts castle is located was such a dream! It truly is fantastic... I enjoyed it all, with butterbeer on hand.

En nuestro último día decidimos ir a Universal Studios Florida y Island of Adventure.
Ambos parques están  lleno de atracciones súper nice, algunas que no se pueden perder: The Revenge of the Mummy, Skull Island: Reign of Kong,  Harry Potter and the Escapte from Gringotts, The Incredible Hulk and Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit ! Pero, definitivamente visitar Wizarding World de Harry Potter fue MAGICO. Estar en Diagon Alley, ver el dragón desde el tope del banco de Gringotts y tomar el tren a la estación desde Kingcross hacia Hogsmead donde se encuentra el castillo de Hogwarts fue un sueño hecho realidad! 

Lo disfruté TODO con cerveza de mantequilla a mano (fans de Harry Potter digan yo!).
