Portland, Oregon // Travel Diary

Friday, February 8

For this day we wanted to go with the flow.
Of course, we wanted to maximize our time especially when it got dark like at 4:30PM!
But the reality was that we were still tired and aching from the accident and we just wanted to enjoy our day without the pressure of having a schedule.

Our day started with late breakfast at Mother's Bistro & Bar. It is such a beautiful and yummy place at the center of the city. I even forgot to take pictures with my camera of our food and place. But you can see a few from my Oregon story highlight from Instagram

NOTE: You don't need to take pictures or film every second of your life. No evidence is needed to
Enjoy your food. Your drinks. Your conversations. Your time.

After breakfast we had coffee and this small little shop  called Courier Coffee located near Powell's books. We stayed there for a while hiding from the cold  with hot coffee in hand haha...

Hood.

Nuestra próxima parada fue Cathedral Park...

During the afternoon we went to two spots we had in mind. One of them was Pittock Mansion. House Museum of the owner of The Oregonian newspaper. It is located in the hills of Portland and it offers one of the prettiest views of the city. You can even see Mt. Hood from there.  It is a must see if you are ever in Portland.

Our next stop was Cathedral Park...

Nydia

The park is located under the St. John bridge which is known for its gothic style arches.
We snapped a few pics and headed out to grab some food at Por que No Taqueria  located at Mississippi Avenue (it has a bunch of shops, bars and places to eat!) After, we bought a box of donuts to go from Blue Star donuts!

Hope you enjoy the  photos and if you plan to visit Portland soon this helps you have an idea of which places to go visit and eat. I have two more posts from our trip!

See you then,
Nydia
